Development issue: Discharge terminal changes after release

Scenario:

  • Discharge terminal changes after shipping company has sent release.

Roles:

  • Shipping Line / Agent
  • Terminal
  • Release-to Party
  • Cargo Director(s)
  • Inland Operator(s)

Services:

  • MLI
  • Cargo Controller
  • Cargo Release Manager
  • MCA

Result:

  • A previously accepted pre-notification at the terminal is no longer valid.
  • Shipping companies must withdraw all releases and reissue them to the new terminal.
  • All chain partners will lose their commercial release until the new release becomes available.

Workaround:

  • The Inland Operator must withdraw his prior pre-notification.
  • All parties are waiting until the new release is available. Processing the update of releases can take between 20 minutes and 1 hour.
  • The Inland Operator can submit a new pre-notification if the chain has been restored at the new terminal.
