This function can be used for both one document per container and one document for multiple transport equipments.
! For partial shipments (one document for multiple transport equipments), make sure you enter the correct weights. This ensures that if the shipment is shipped in parts (i.e. it ends up on different export manifests), the weight is correctly cleared and the Confirmation of Exit is sent to the exporter.
The field ‘Transport Equipment’
When you submit documents to a container terminal you enter the container number (consisting of 11 positions; 4 letters followed by 7 digits).
When you submit documents to a ferry terminal, besides a container number there are other options for submitting the transport equipment number. For escorted transport, the vehicle registration plate of the tractor unit (without hyphens, so enter NL-AB-99 as NLAB99). For trailers, the trailer number shown on the trailer. For other vehicles, the chassis number (VIN number). If you are unclear about how to enter the equipment number in a specific case, please contact the ferry operator.
This function can be used for a single container with multiple documents.
! The icons located next to the entry fields reflect error or status notifications.
! In order to change a container number or booking number, you must first enter a new line with the correct information before deleting the line containing the error.
Filter and search options
In this screen, the status of your documents can be viewed. Please note: the status can be viewed from the moment the transport equipments arrives at the terminal up to the moment at which the shipping company submits the Customs manifest to Customs.

Transport equipment
When prenotifying a container to a container terminal, you must enter the container number (which consists of 11 characters: 4 letters followed by 7 numbers).
When submitting notifications to a ferry terminal, it will be possible to enter a registration number (accompanied) or trailer number (unaccompanied) in addition to the container number. Notifications to a ferry terminal will have a booking number starting with a 4-letter alphabetical code which identifies the ferry operator in question. These are the possible codes: CLdN = CLVW, DFDS = DFDS, P&O Ferries = PONF, Stenaline = STNL.
1. Search for the export shipment by selecting the ‘All export shipments’ option in the ‘Export shipment summary’ screen.
2. You can search by
• transport equipment + booking number
• document number
3. Open the relevant export shipment and click ‘Synchronise’.
From now on, changes to the export shipment(s) with this booking number will be sent to the terminal system via the ‘Export shipment information’ EDI message.
1. Search for the export shipment belonging to the transport equipment by selecting the options ‘All export shipments’ in the ‘Summary of export notification’ screen.
2. You can search by
• transport equipment + booking number
• document number
3. Open the relevant export shipment and click ‘Register arrival of transport equipment(s)’.
The Arrival at Exit notification will then automatically be sent to customs.
! It is possible to have your customer receive a notification when the status of the shipment changes. If this is desired, enter the e-mail address of the contact person for your customer in the field ‘Notify party’.
! Some shipping companies use both a booking number and a deposit reference number. In that case, the shipping company’s deposit reference number must be entered in the field for the booking number.
! For T1 or T2 documents ending in Rotterdam, use the document code RT1 or RT2 respectively. If your documents must be cleared by Customs in another EU Member State, select the code TT1 or TT2.
Email notifications allow you to stay up-to-date on your shipments without the need to be logged in.
The option to receive email notifications is not enabled by default. You can choose which notifications you want to receive. In the main screen of the PCS, select ‘notification settings’ under ‘my profile’.

If you do not know which notifications are relevant to you, please tick all the notifications for the time being. You can always adjust this later.
