Delete or adjust an import document pre-notification in Notification Import Documentation

If you have accidentally pre-notified an incorrect document, you can submit a request to withdraw the document at ECT Delta and Euromax via the service Notification Import Documentation (NID).

Read the article Request to withdraw import document in Notification Import Documentation for a pre-notified document (status approved).

For other terminals, this is only possible by phone or email. At the bottom of this article you will find the contact details per terminal and which communication channel is available.

After the incorrect pre-notification has been removed, you can submit a new import document pre-notification (NID). This is not possible earlier.

Responsibility of the submitter of the import document (NID)

The organisation that submitted the NID is responsible for ensuring that this is done correctly and on time. Please also read the manual from Customs.

Diverting to another terminal

If you have applied an import procedure that allowed you to process a NID notification before discharge, it may be that a vessel diverts to another discharge terminal. At that moment, as the submitter you are responsible for withdraw of the NID at the terminal.

Withdrawal request rejected?

It is possible that you can no longer withdraw the submitted import document. At that moment, the container is already too far along in the loading process (road, rail or barge). It may also be that the container has already departed from the terminal. In all these cases, the submitter of the import procedure is responsible for the consequences. Contact Customs for advice and follow-up. Portbase cannot assist you with this.
