This procedure is generic.
The Port Community System (PCS) is unavailable
During the disruption
You make all notifications directly to the Harbour Master.
Check with the Harbour Master yourself to see if your latest notifications (from before the disruption) have been received.
The 24-hour notification requirement is temporarily reduced to 8 hours.
You notify all ships 8 hours before arrival by fax or email to the relevant port service. This can be in any reporting format you have available.
The response message from the port service serves as confirmation that you have fulfilled your notification obligation.
Please note that no data is sent to collectors; you must contact the collectors yourself.
After the disruption
You must still submit your Notification Waste Disposal retrospectively electronically via the PCS to the port service.
The Port Management System of the Port Authorities is unavailable
During the disruption
You can continue to send notifications via the PCS, but you will not receive an acknowledgement of receipt.
Once you have clicked send, you have fulfilled your notification obligation.
The 24-hour notification requirement remains in effect.
Collectors automatically receive data from the PCS.
After the disruption
If you did not receive an acknowledgement of receipt during the disruption, it will still be received.
