This procedure is generic. Each situation describes how to act both during and after a disruption.
Port Community System (PCS) is unavailable
During the disruption
Requested veterinary inspections are handled by the inspection point and the NVWA according to the normal procedures at the inspection point. For status information, you can contact the relevant inspection point by phone. The cargo provider can request new veterinary inspections via fax, email, or phone at the inspection point. The cargo provider must coordinate with the inspection point on the preferred method of confirmation for the inspection request and the arrival of the cargo.
After the disruption
You can request your inspections via the normal procedure. Requests made during the disruption can, if desired by one of the parties, be registered in the PCS afterwards. However, this is not mandatory. For questions about the processing, you can contact our Customer Service.
