The main administrator can be changed in two ways:
- in IAMconnected by the current main administrator;
- via the online change form which must be signed by the authorised representative.
Current main administrator is still active
As main administrator, you can transfer your role as main administrator to one other employee. As there can never be more than one main administrator, this action means you will no longer be the main administrator yourself.
Tip: do you want to remain active as main administrator but also appoint an extra user who can also manage your users? Then make them user administrator.
Transferring the main administrator works as follows:
- In IAMconnected, select the employee in the User management > Employees tab
- Select Main administrator under the Access level heading.
- Press the Transfer main administrator button. (see screenshot).
- Follow the steps on the screen.
You will be asked to review your authorised representative. The authorised representative will be asked by email to approve the new main administrator. It is therefore important that the correct authorised representative and email address are used.
If your authorised representative or their email address is incorrect, you can adjust this. Press Authorised representative is incorrect. You can then select the correct authorised representative and contact details, as long as these are known in the trade register. The new authorised representative will receive an invitation to identify themselves.
Current main administrator is no longer active
If the current main administrator is no longer active, you can request a change of main administrator via the change form. The authorised representative of your organisation must sign this form. If you have any questions or problems, you can contact sales@portbase.com.
The new main administrator must have an IAMconnected account and be linked to your organisation. Is the new main administrator a completely new user? Have them create an IAMconnected account and submit a link request with your organisation.
