Uploading and Downloading Excel in Cargo Controller Import

You can upload and/or download an Excel file in Cargo Controller Import. It is largely the same as following new B/Ls via an Excel upload, but you need to provide more information.

Uploading via an Excel file

To upload, follow these steps:

You can enter a maximum of 500 equipment and the corresponding B/Ls at once using an Excel file.

  1. Select Add.
  2. In the Cargo section, you will find the Upload file button at the bottom, after which a screen follows with a link to an Excel template.

  3. Fill in the Excel template with the required details (B/L number, equipment number and optionally your own reference) and save the file.

Download templates to upload B/L data in bulk.
  4. Select Upload file and choose the Excel file you just saved. Then click the blue Upload button.

  5. You will receive a confirmation of all successfully and unsuccessfully added equipment and associated B/Ls. The following 3 options may occur:
    1. The successfully added B/Ls are automatically added to Cargo Controller Import and marked as favourite.
    2. The unsuccessfully added B/Ls do not meet the criteria. An explanation for rejection is provided. You can now correct or delete the details manually.
    3. After manually correcting or deleting the details, select Save. The corrected B/L details will then still be added to Cargo Controller Import.

You have now controlled the Secure Chain in bulk.

Downloading B/L information

After you receive updates on this data, you can also download a selection and import it into your own systems. Which information is included in the download depends on the active filters. Follow these steps:

  1. Use the filters to choose which B/Ls should be included in the download.
  2. Click the checkbox at the top of the overview screen to select all B/Ls at once for download. Or select the desired B/Ls at B/L level by ticking the checkbox per B/L.
  3. When you select at least 1 B/L, additional action buttons appear at the top of the overview screen. On the left, you will see the Download button.
  4. You will receive a confirmation via a pop-up message of the number of B/Ls selected for download and you can confirm the download. All data will be included in a CSV file.
