Just as you can withdraw the rights of the next party in the chain, your principal in the chain can also withdraw this for you as release-to-party, director or inland operator. A carrier can withdraw the entire commercial release. At that moment, the container is no longer available for collection until the commercial release has been granted again by the carrier.
Recognising an expired commercial release
After the release has expired, the inland operator’s pre-notification will also be rejected by the terminal. In Cargo Controller Import, this status is also fed back.
Follow the link to View all errors. See the two screenshots below as an example. The second screen, the detail screen Pickup errors, indicates in Cargo Controller Import that the inland operator’s pre-notification at the terminal is not ready for cargo pick-up. In this situation, contact your carrier for a new commercial release.
Recognising a withdrawn authorisation or nomination
Check the status of the Secure Chain to see whether your organisation still has rights from your principal. If no current rights have been granted, the status will be grey instead of green. Your chain may already have been fully prepared, and is currently still active (as you can see in the example below). However, without the commercial release, your inland operator cannot collect the container. When the carrier resends the commercial release, this will automatically restore your already prepared chain and the inland operator can submit the pre-notification.
Contact your principal if you are no longer authorised or nominated for this cargo.
