Pre-filled status request (Secure Chain containers)
As soon as you, as a transport company, are designated by the customer for the transport of a container in the Secure Chain, a status request is automatically prepared. We advise reusing this for the prenotification at the terminal, so that it is directly linked to the correct Secure Chain B/L. Additionally, the advantage of this is that you need to fill in less information, the chance of errors decreases, and you save time.
Have you already started a status request or prenotification?
If you have already created a status request or prenotification yourself, HCN tries to automatically link this to the Secure Chain. Due to the complexity of some chains, this is not always possible. Ensure that you include the B/L number in your status request or prenotification, so that it is directly linked to the correct Secure Chain B/L. This prevents problems and ensures a smooth process.
- Enter the B/L number in the status request or prenotification.
- B/L number not known? You can find the B/L number in the Shipment screen of HCN and copy it into your status request or prenotification.
- No shipment found for the relevant container? Your transport company may not (yet) be authorised. Contact your customer to resolve this.
ECT and Euromax cannot process updates. Therefore, we advise only to make a prenotification at these terminals once the status request is completely correct and green.
