Why do I need to identify myself via CheckedID?

As an authorised representative, you will receive an invitation for identification with CheckedID by email. This email also contains an explanation of how the identification process works. This invitation is sent when:

  • you (or one of your employees) have submitted a request to use services from Portbase, thereby becoming a customer of Portbase. The applicant will enter the email address of the authorised representative.
  • your main administrator has submitted a change request for your organisation details and you have not yet been identified. Your main administrator will specify the email address of the authorised representative.

It is important that the authorised representative's own personal email address is registered. Change requests that you need to approve will be sent to this email address in the future. Anyone with access to this email can approve these requests on behalf of your organisation.

Securing and protecting your company data as a Portbase customer is essential to us. To ensure security, we review the identity of the Authorised representative via the CheckedID application.

We then check in the register of your organisation at the Kamer van Koophandel whether this person is authorised to act on behalf of your organisation.

This review prevents other people from viewing, changing, or carrying out actions on behalf of your organisation.
