As an inland operator, you are nominated by your principal, which gives you the exclusive right to pre-notify and collect the container. Following the nomination by your principal, a status request is automatically prepared for you in Hinterland Container Notification (HCN), which you can upgrade to a pre-notification as you are used to.
Secure Chain nomination process
In addition to receiving a transport order, as you are used to, your principal must nominate you via Portbase. This gives you the exclusive right to pre-notify and collect the container in HCN.
When your principal has nominated you, a free status request is automatically created in HCN. You can find this in your HCN overview and it can be converted into a pre-notification.
You can also find the same containers for which you have been nominated in the Shipments screen. Can’t find a container/shipment in this overview? Then you have not (yet) been nominated!
