By using the Spoor-rotatiesjablonen function, you can create recurring train rotations and terminal visits with just a few clicks. This allows you to work faster and reduces the likelihood of errors.

- Go to the template overview screen
- Create a template with data you want pre-filled when creating a rotation
- Generate one or more rotations based on one or more templates
- Review your results in the rotation screen

You are now in the template overview screen.
The template list is sorted like the Rotation screen: Train number – name of the shuttle – day of the week.

- Add all information about the rotation and visits that you want pre-filled
- Then click on Save Template
Explanation of the Trip Number for Discharge/Loading
- Enter the first two letters and the last two digits
- HCN derives the year and week number
- HCN completes the numbers of the discharge and loading trip by adding the year and week number
HCN derives the week number from the first departure day of the arriving train.
- If the last visit is in the following week, resulting in a different week number for the loading trip, use the option Loading Trip Only.
- If the first visit is in the following week compared to the departure day of the arriving train, use the option Discharge and Loading Trip.
Explanation for Entering Visit Information
When you have a template visit and the option to use a timetable slot, you can leave the ETA, ETD, and numbers of handlings empty. HCN automatically fills in the valid slot times and numbers at the time of generation (step 4). These slots are prepared for you by the terminal in HCN.
Generate Rotations
- Select one or more templates and click on Generate Rotations.
- Select the date range
- Click on Create Rotations.
HCN creates rotations based on the selected date range in the popup, compared with the First Departure Day defined in the template.
The Create Rotations button shows that three rotations are being created. In this example, three rotations are created because 1 template train starts on Monday, 1 template train on Friday. The selected week is from Monday 1 November to Monday 8 November.
However, suppose you have selected a rotation with the first departure day of the train on Monday
- If the date range does not include Monday, no rotations are created
- If the date range includes two Mondays, two rotations are created
Review Results
Rotations are added to the overview screen Rotations.
HCN does not check for the uniqueness of rotations. Remove duplicate rotations.
