Adjust e-mail notification settings
After you have logged in, go to ‘my profile’ and click on ‘Notification management’ Please note: For the service Inspections Portal, you will need to adjust the settings for the corresponding e-mail notifications yourself so that you can be kept informed of any inspections that apply to you. It's possible that in the past, you made use of e-mail notifications from the service Cargo Declaration Import or Customs Scan Process. These email notifications will be discontinued as of 1 November 2017. You will find the e-mail notifications in ‘Notification management’ under ‘Inspections Portal’. Each user in your organisation will be able to sign up for the e-mail notifications relevant to your company, simply by filling in the desired email address. Types of e-mail notifications- Inspection announced: Will be sent to you for every B/L that has been selected for inspection
- Inspection released: Will be sent for every inspection that is released
- Additional inspection announced: Will be sent in the event Customs wishes to carry out an additional inspection
- Additional inspection cancelled: Will be sent when a follow-up inspection is cancelled or annulled
- Inspection deleted: Will be sent in the event Customs deletes an inspection
- Inspection released in connection with external scan: Will be sent when Customs (in consultation) releases a container in order to conduct an external scan
- Discharge location altered: Will be sent when the discharge location of a container changes
Maintain oversight and look up inspections
After you have logged in, go to ‘my services’ and click on ‘Inspections Portal’ Here, you will see an overview of all inspections of your cargo registered by Customs, spanning a period of two weeks past and one week ahead of a given date.- You can adjust the filter as you see fit. If you search based on a container number, B/L number or CRN, there is no need to enter a date. You activate the filter by clicking ‘Display’.
- The results can be sorted by selecting the column in question.
- You can also use the open search field; this allows you to search by terminal name, for instance.
Use the Detail screen
Selecting an inspection in the overview screen will enable you to view the details of that inspection.- Under ‘General', you will find information on:
- B/L
- the container
- vessel voyage
- discharge confirmation (if available)
- This is where the name of the agreement partner (on whose behalf Customs will conduct the inspection) will be displayed, if applicable.
- Under ‘Inspection status’, you will find all changes to the status of the inspection, along with the time and date when each change occurred. If Customs has added any remarks, this is where you will find those as well.
- Under ‘Inspections’, you will find the registered inspections for the container in question, as well as the location where the inspection(s) will take place.
