Managing an SMTP connection

At the moment, you cannot manage SMTP interfaces yourself. This functionality will become available in the application System interfaces (EDIFACT/XML) from 27 July 2026. If you would like to have an adjustment made to your SMTP interface now, you can contact the Integration Services department via integration@portbase.com.

Introduction

Managing your interfaces is done via the PCS service System interfaces (EDIFACT/XML). You can find this in the Port Community Systeem (PCS). As a technical administrator, you can easily implement change here yourself.

To ensure security, it is important that the right person is granted organisation access to this portal.

Getting access consists of 3 steps:

Where do I manage my interfaces?

Prepare interface

In the system interfaces portal, you will see an overview of your interfaces. This is the place to configure your interface or authorise your software supplier to do this. Via the Details option (on the right), you can view more information and settings for an interface.

Add or change email address

In the Email address block, you configure the email address used for this SMTP interface. You can both add and change it here. Depending on the desired configuration for your message traffic (set by Portbase integration specialists), this email address is used for incoming and/or outgoing message traffic.

An email address change becomes active immediately and replaces the existing email address.
