Start with Cargo Controller Export

Track the current status of your cargo in Cargo Controller Export. It is possible to track different type of cargo such as bulk, RORO and containers. The main screen contains 2 different overviews:

  • All cargo; all cargo that your organisation tracks. See also the chapter track cargo for an explanation of which cargo is included in this overview.
  • My cargo: personal overview of the bookings you track. This overview is populated when you mark a booking as a favourite (star icon next to the booking number).

Searching on the main screen

The cargo overview offers two ways to search for bookings that are relevant and require your attention:

  1. Search bar
The search bar lets you search directly by equipment, booking or document number. It is also possible to search by part of the search term.
  2. Selection boxes
Using the selection boxes on the left side of the screen, you can make selections to find multiple bookings quickly. An example is cargo with an inspection, or cargo for which the vessel arrives next week. It is also possible to use multiple filters at the same time.

Status information on the cargo screen

On the main screen, you can track your cargo in 3 steps: Booking and Preparation, Arrival at terminal and Departure.

The main indicators show a general status per phase, or the most critical status. When you click the i icon, the detail screen opens with the corresponding indicators. These colours mean:

Status is bevestigd.png : Status is confirmed, all indicators are green.

Status indicator is geel.png: At least 1 indicator is yellow; your attention may be needed.

Status indicator is rood.png: At least 1 indicator is red; your attention is needed.

Status indicator is blauw nog bezig.png: Process in progress. Not all indicators are green yet, but there are no warnings either. Waiting for an update.

Status indicator Status nog niet bekend.png: Status not yet known. No update is available yet, but there may be an expected status, such as the ETA. Waiting for an update.

For a detailed explanation of all statuses, see the article Status information on the cargo screen of Cargo Controller Export

Track cargo

All bookings that your organisation tracks are shown on the main screen. There are 3 ways cargo is added to this overview:

  1. Automatically via the service Notification Export Documentation
By default, this option is enabled. The administrator of your organisation can adjust this. You can adjust this via Organisation settings at the top right of the main screen of the service. Please note: only the main administrator can adjust this. Below is the view for the main administrator.

  2. Add manually
At the top of the screen, you have the option to add a booking manually. You can track any booking, including those of third parties.  Select + Add booking. In this screen, you can also add the vessel directly via Add vessel. Adding the vessel allows terminal data such as ETA, ETD and cargo opening and closing to be linked.

  3. Via API
Bookings tracked via the API are also automatically shown in the service’s web screens.

Add vessel

Adding the vessel allows terminal data such as ETA, ETD and cargo opening and closing to be linked. There are 2 options for adding the vessel:

  1. While adding a booking
Using the web screen, the vessel can be added directly when you add the booking. Select + Add booking at the top of the main screen. In this screen, you can also add the vessel directly via Add vessel.

Do you have a system integration? The API allows you to add the vessel directly next to the booking number via IMO or CRN. See Implement Cargo Controller Export API under 'API with vessel information' [link will be added later].

Set up email notifications

The service offers the option to set up different email notifications. On the main screen, select Notification settings at the top right.

You can set up notifications for all cargo or only my cargo. To receive notifications only for your cargo, select Favourites next to the notification.

Set up My cargo

The service allows you to make a selection from all bookings. These bookings will be visible under the My cargo tab on the main screen. Select the star next to the booking; it will turn yellow after selection.
