Within Cargo Controller Import, we use the EAN number that makes inland operators uniquely identifiable as an organisation. Within Cargo Controller Import and Cargo Release Manager, we use this to nominate the correct inland operator within the Secure Chain.
An EAN number within Secure Logistics is a unique register number for transport companies. It stands for Electronic Article Number (or European Article Number), but in logistics it functions as a digital company-level identity.
The EAN number is issued and managed by Secure Logistics.
