Cancel a Visit in Hinterland Container Notification Barge

You can cancel a barge visit via the Cancel visit button at the bottom left of the Visit details tab.

Before you can cancel a visit, all pre-notified containers on the visit must first be:

  • cancelled (= cancel container);
  • detached from the visit (= detach container); or
  • moved to another visit (= attach container).

Please note: cancelling, detaching or moving pre-notified containers must first be processed by the terminal. This may take a few minutes after you have submitted the action in Hinterland Container Notification.

Has the cut-off time passed? If so, please contact the terminal to have the discharge/loading list reopened. Only after the discharge/loading list has been reopened by the terminal can the pre-notified containers be cancelled, detached or moved. After that, the visit can be cancelled.

Steps

  1. Open the barge visit.
  2. Check whether the cut-off time has passed.
  3. Has the cut-off time passed? If so, first contact the terminal to have the discharge/loading list reopened.
  4. Cancel, detach or move all pre-notified containers.
  5. Wait until the terminal has processed the changes.
  6. Click Cancel visit at the bottom left of the visit.
  7. Confirm the cancellation with Yes.
