In the video below, we explain everything about the Import Status service. Below the video, you will find more information as a reference to the video.
Also available in Dutch or German.
Tracing cargo in Import Status
Follow these steps to trace your cargo in the Import Status service:
- Choose Select a terminal and then select the terminal from the dropdown where you want to collect the cargo.
- Enter the equipment number or shipment number of the cargo you wish to collect.
- For collecting cargo at a shortsea terminal, enter the equipment number (for containers, this is the container number)
- For collecting cargo at a ferry terminal, enter the shipment number
- Click search
- If information about the equipment or shipment number is available, you will see a screen with three information blocks.
- Temporary storage declaration (Customs manifest, abbreviated as ‘ATO’): Here you see the latest ATO notification from the past two weeks. You will also see the status of the ATO at Customs.
- Inspection: Here you can see if an inspection has been announced in the past two weeks. If nothing is visible, it means that (at this moment) no inspection is known.
- Import document: Here you will find all import documents that have been reported in the past two weeks. You will also see the status of the various documents.
- Based on the statuses and the corresponding dates, you can decide for yourself whether you can collect the cargo.
Do you want to start a new search? Then click the new search button at the top right of the screen.
In the screenshot below, you can see an example of the status of a container. For this container, a document has been pre-notified and no inspection is known. The container is allowed to leave the terminal.
Example of a ferry shipment with multiple sub-shipments (groupage shipment)
In the example below, the equipment contains two sub-shipments. For the second sub-shipment, no document has been pre-notified. The equipment is therefore not allowed to leave the terminal.
