Document type FWV (Fiat removal / customs release) is only intended for specific goods flows that additionally require explicit customs permission to be allowed to leave the terminal. The shipment therefore remains blocked until Customs grants this permission.
Portbase sees that FWV is regularly used for pre-notifying transit documents from the United Kingdom or Ireland. This is not correct and results in your shipment remaining blocked at the terminal.
For transit documents drawn up in Ireland or the United Kingdom, the shipping line submits an NID notification. Read more about this in the article Pre-notifying transit documents from the UK in Notification Import Documentation.
Recover an incorrect FWV notification
If you have accidentally pre-notified document type FWV, please contact the terminal to correct this document notification. Where possible, use the withdraw notification button in the detail screen of the NID notification. How?
