This action can only be performed by a main administrator or user administrator within your organisation.
Register customer code – link to carrier
Follow the next steps to register a customer code for the Secure Chain.
- Log in to the service Cargo Controller Import, or Cargo Release Manager, and in the top-right go to User menu and select organisation settings.
- You will arrive in the Commercial release tab. Here you select the carrier and enter the customer code you receive by email from the carrier. Then press save and your request will be sent to the carrier.
- Per carrier, you will see the submitted customer codes with the current status of the verification. The carrier receives a notification immediately and assesses the verification.
The carrier will immediately receive an email containing the request to verify your organisation. The name of your organisation and the name the carrier has under this reference number must match. The carrier verifies whether the register is accepted.
Start moment Secure Chain
In consultation with the carrier, you determine from when commercial releases are released via Cargo Controller Import or Cargo Release Manager. The status of your verification must be accept before you can Start with.
After entering the customer code, you will not automatically receive the release for your container. The carrier must first accept this. After that, you are ready to receive a new release via Portbase.
Manage customer codes
Per carrier you can have multiple customer codes; you can register these individually. In this tab you can see, per carrier, which customer codes you have registered and you can also manage them by deleting expired customer codes via the delete button.
