Start with Notification Export Documentation

Entering a document

You can use this function both for one document per transport equipment and for one document for multiple transport equipments. 

  1. Select New shipment.
  2. Fill in the required input fields.
  3. Select Add transport equipment if you want to enter another transport equipment.
  4. Save the entered details by clicking Save.
  5. The shipment appears in the Shipment overview menu.

The Transport Equipment field

When you pre-notify a container for a container terminal, you must enter the container number (consisting of 11 characters, 4 letters followed by 7 digits) in the service.

For notifications for a ferry terminal, in addition to the container number there are also other input fields:

  • For accompanied transport: the registration number of the towing unit (without hyphens; enter NL-AB-99 as NLAB99).
  • For trailers: the trailer number as shown on the trailer.
  • For other vehicles: the chassis number (VIN number).

If it is not clear how to enter the equipment number in a specific case, please contact the relevant ferry operator.

Entering documents for a consolidated shipment

You can use this function for one transport equipment with multiple documents.

  1. Select New consolidated transport equipment.
  2. Fill in the required input fields.
  3. Select Add document if you want to enter another document.
  4. Save the entered details by clicking Save.
  5. The shipment appears in the Shipment overview menu.

Entering documents using an Excel upload

  1. On the PCS home screen, download the Import Notifications export documentation file under My downloads.
  2. Fill in the required input fields. In any case, complete the fields in the blue, mandatory columns. For further explanation in the Excel file, see the Guide. tab.
  3. Then save the file locally (on your PC).
  4. Select Upload file.
  5. Select the file you want to upload.
  6. Select Upload file.
  7. The shipments appear in the Notification overview menu.

Setting up email notifications

With email notifications, you can stay informed about your shipments without being logged in. Email notifications are not enabled by default. You can choose which notifications you want to receive.
