Access the application System interface (EDIFACT/XML)

Introduction

The PCS service System interface (EDIFACT/XML) can be used to manage AS2 connections and sFTP connections. In 2026, we aim to add the management of SMTP connections to this application. The management of JSON APIs is not yet supported; changes can be requested via our Integration Services department.

For whom

The application System interface (EDIFACT/XML) is intended for technical administrators responsible for the system interfaces of their organisation.

Gaining access

IAMconnected account

For security, each Portbase user needs an individual IAMconnected account. If the technical administrator does not yet have one, it must be created and linked to the organisation.

  1. Create an individual IAMconnected account
  2. Link in IAMconnected with your organisation

Granting access in the PCS

To gain access to the application, a main administrator or user administrator of your organisation must grant access to the application System interface (EDIFACT/XML) in the PCS.

See the article Grant or withdraw user access to a service to learn how they can do this.

Navigating to the application

  1. Log in to the Portbase PCS
  2. Open the application System interface (EDIFACT/XML)

  3. You should now see an overview of active AS2 and SFTP connections. Other connections cannot yet be managed with this application.

If you do not yet see any system interfaces, there could be several reasons:

  • You currently have no active system interfaces.
    • You can request a system interface with information from the article Request API or system interface
    • If you have already made a request, it may take a few days for us to review your request and create your connection.
  • Your organisation only uses APIs or SMTP connections. These are not yet supported in this application.
  • Your organisation communicates via the connection of the software supplier. In this case, contact your software supplier.
