Start with Vessel Notification in Vlissingen and Terneuzen

For Vlissingen and Terneuzen, it is possible to handle the entire vessel visit from Vessel Notification in the PCS.

The following functionalities are currently not available in Vlissingen and Terneuzen:

  • Dangerous goods declaration
  • Health declaration
  • Cargo declaration and supplementary data for port dues
  • agent transfer
  • Port permits
  • Operational and administrative voyage tracking

Status of Harbour Master

After submitting the declaration within Vessel Notification, it is processed in Enigma+. After receiving the feedback, it is possible to make updates to the visit.

We receive three feedback messages from Enigma+, which change the visit status. These are the statuses below:

Blue – Pending, waiting for an answer from Harbour Master
Green – Accepted
Red – Rejected, including error message

Sailing schedule

It is possible to order the nautical service providers within Vessel Notification. A precondition for this is entering the sailing schedule. To do this, under Create Visit choose between an Entry Point, which is a Pilot Station, or no Pilot Station. If the Entry Point is a Pilot Station, then the following fields are mandatory:

  • Intention
    • Request for Entry
    • Waiting for Orders
  • ETA Pilot Boarding Place
  • ETA Sea Buoy
  • Planning Based on
    • First Berth
    • Pilot Boarding Place

The familiar terms from the North Sea Port sailing schedule (such as ETA, GTA, GTO & BTV) have a different name within Vessel Notification. Hover your mouse over Intention to see how the North Sea Port sailing schedule can be entered.

Pilotage leg

For the Westerschelde area, it is possible to sail with a pilot for part of the route between Pilot Station & Berth. This can be requested in Vessel Notification by adding a Pilot boarding per trajectory. The routes and locations can be added by clicking Add pilot boarding per trajectory. For each location, you must choose whether it is desirable to have a pilot on board.

Linking visits Vlissingen & Terneuzen

To use the benefits of combined visits between Vlissingen and Terneuzen, the Related Visit field has been added. This field is added if the last previous port was Vlissingen or Terneuzen. In this field you enter the CRN of the combined visit.
