Renewed web screens for Cargo Declaration Export Containers

19 January 2026 | Cargo Declaration Export Containers

Recently, Portbase has been working behind the scenes to align the look and feel of Cargo Declaration Export Containers with other Portbase services. This ensures that the standardized functions are instantly recognizable and can always be found in the same location on the web screens.

The service’s functionalities did not change. No adjustments have been made to the EDI integration either. So if you use Cargo Declaration Export Containers through your own system, nothing will change.

The current service is currently available via the PCS main screen. This will be replaced by the new version in the first week of February.

What has been updated in MLE?

  • Filters
All filters have been moved to the left side. In the “Departure Date” filter, you can choose from custom selections as well as predefined periods. The default period has remained the same.

  • The overviews for all manifests and urgent items
You can switch between overviews on the left side in the redesigned web screens. The functionality of both overviews remains the same.
  • Search bar
This function can be used in both overviews, including urgent items. This was previously not possible. For those who missed previous announcements on August 28th, you can also search by equipment and booking number.
  • Details screen
The details screen expands to cover half the page. Use the cross in the top right corner to return to the main screen.

Minor adjustment in Excel download

The “document type” field will no longer be available in the Excel download. This specific field was already missing from the web screens and EDI integration. The Customs document codes will, of course, be included in the MFX message.

What’s coming soon?

A major request from Cargo Declaration Export Containers users is the ability to archive manifests. This new functionality will be available sometime in 2026. We will inform you about this new feature via in-service messages.
