Requesting container status or submitting pre-notification

• Once you have entered the necessary information, you can request the following:

• • A status request: You will receive information on the status of the container only.

• • Submitting a pre-notification to the terminal: You must indicate the ETA of the means of transport.

• When you pre-notify to APM Terminals and RWG, you will receive a TAR code with a time slot.
• You can also link the container to an existing pre-notification, for which the ETA is already known. (See step 7)

Overview screen

• Once the container has been registered, it will be displayed in the overview screen.
• Container with:
  • Dotted line: You have requested status information and have NOT pre-notified the container.  Pre-notifications can be submitted by clicking the ‘Pre-notify’ button on the overview screen.
  • Solid line: Container has been pre-notified to the terminal.
• By clicking on the container number, you can make changes to the pre-notification and then re-submit it to the terminal (which supports this option).
• How to update the ETA for an existing pre-notification is explained in step 6.

Filtering the containers shown

• By applying filters, you can ensure that only the containers relevant to you are displayed on the overview screen.
  • Is your container not being displayed? Adjust the filter so that all criteria apply to the desired container.
• Would you like to view all containers? Simply click ‘Clear filters’ (next to the filters).
• Please note: One filter category is permanently selected: ‘period’.

Status information

• The most vital information concerning containers is displayed in the overview screen.
• Click on the ‘Status’ box for more information.
• The container can be handled at the terminal when all status information is displayed as ‘Okay’ (not red).
• A red status indicates which action is still needed or which missing information needs to be filled in before you can proceed.
• When terminals are unable to supply specific status information, the status will be grey. In that case, the status will be displayed under Details as ‘unknown’.

Editing the ETA

• If the expected arrival time of a truck has changed, you can edit the truck’s ETA in the overview screen.
• Click on the time slot to edit the ETA. In cases involving HPDII, APM-MV2 and RWG, after you have notified the new ETA, the linked containers will be pre-announced to the terminal once more and new status/TAR details will be retrieved from the system.

Linking / unlinking containers

• Containers can easily be linked to a specific visit or switched to a different visit.
• Linking a container: Select one or more containers in the overview screen and then click on the ‘Link’ button. Next, enter the TAR for a specific visit to link the containers to that visit. The terminal will be informed of this link once it has been confirmed.
• Unlinking a container: Select the container and click the ‘Unlink’ button. The pre-notification to the terminal in question will then be cancelled.

Confirmation of discharge/loading

• Containers for which physical handling has been completed will be displayed on the overview screen.
• Click on ‘Loaded’ or ‘Discharged’ to see the time of the operation and the identifying details of the mode of transport.

E-mail notifications

• It is possible to receive e-mail notifications informing you of rejected pre-notifications or changes to the status of a container.
• E-mail notifications will only be sent if you have adjusted your notification management settings to allow them.
• You can do so by going to the home screen (s000) of the PCS. Then click the link for ‘notification management’ and enter your e-mail address next to the notification you wish to receive. You will now be sent the requested notifications.
