What to do during the malfunction?
Information on malfunctions in the PCS can be found at https://status.portbase.com. If the malfunction is not listed here, please contact the Portbase Service Desk.
Find out what the deadline is for submitting your declaration for temporary storage. If possible, wait until the malfunction has been corrected. If, as a result of the malfunction, you are unable to submit your manifest by the deadline date, please contact the Customs National Tactical Centre (CNTC). Customs will make arrangements with you to submit your declaration by an alternative means.
What to do after the malfunction has been resolved?
You will be able to submit your notifications using the standard procedure again. The Declarations for Temporary Storage must be entered in the PCS retroactively.

If there is a malfunction in the Customs Manifest (CMF) system, customs will report it by means of a service message on https://nh.douane.nl/ and indicate whether the emergency procedure may be used. They will also provide a malfunction number. This service message will also be shown in My Portbase.
If there is a malfunction in the PCS, please call Maritime Customs CCC. Customs will make further arrangements with you to enable you to submit your prenotification.
