The Transhipment service is a module in the Port Community System (PCS) that allows a REN message for Transhipment cargo to be submitted to Customs.
*You go through a different roadmap, steps 1 and 2 below do not apply to you.
To create a new transhipment cargo, go to the ‘Transhipment’ tab and click on ‘New transhipment’
Fill in the requested data.
If you complete this from your role as a deepsea shipping company, enter only the consignment number.
If you are a feeder operator, enter both the consignment number, and the container number.
Then click the ‘Declare Transhipment’ button. The new transhipment now appears automatically in the total transhipment overview.
If you complete the transhipment from your role as a deep-sea shipping company, and you know in advance that it is a transhipment cargo, your process will look different. You then go through the following steps.
You will receive status feedback from Customs because at the time the Port Authority sends the ATA:
When both the status MID Accepted, and RED accepted are on green, your transhipment message has been completed. When one of the labels remains on red (rejected), please contact us.
