From 18 November 2024, prenotification using the Portbase Hinterland Container Notification Road (HCN Road) service will be possible at the Container Terminal Vrede (CTVrede) locations: CTVrede Amsterdam and CTVrede Hoogtij. For both terminal locations, CTVrede wishes to employ a transition period for use of the TAR (Truck Appointment Reference) code. From Monday 18 November 2024, you can prenotify voluntarily. Prenotification will be mandatory from Monday 16 December 2024. Following prenotification, you will automatically receive status information regarding the containers and a TAR code. As of 16 December 2024, CTVrede will make the use of the TAR code mandatory.
CTVrede also employs EAN validation at the gate. This means that road hauliers who use an executing charter must specify this in the prenotification. Without a correct EAN match, the truck driver will not be admitted to the terminal.
