Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) and APM Terminals Maasvlakte II (APMT MVII) share extra data in HCN

17 April 2024 | Hinterland Container Notification Road

From today on you can see additional data from Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) terminal in HCN (Hinterland Container Notification). This is because RWG has made extra data available for all modalities.

What can you view?

The additional data RWG has made visible in HCN are:

  • Call reference number (CRN)
  • Cargo closing time
  • Cargo opening time
  • Expected discharge time
  • Estimated time of arrival (ETA)
  • Estimated time of departure (ETD)
  • Size type
  • Ultimate release date
  • Voyage number
What do you need to do for this?

Are you using HCN via web screen? Then you do not need to do anything to see the extra RWG data. The additional data is automatically visible in your web screens.

If you have an API system link? Then please check with your software supplier whether the data is already visible immediately, or whether this requires an additional adjustment.

Multiple terminals share data

As a matter of fact, RWG is not the only terminal sharing data in HCN these days. APM Terminals Maasvlakte II (APMT MVII) has been showing cargo opening & closing time, estimated time of arrival (ETA) and estimated time of departure (ETD) for a while already. To see this data, you do need to perform a manual action. The exact course of action you need to take is depending on which modality you use. Read more about the required actions here for: HCN Road, HCN Rail and HCN Barge.

The importance of good data

For our ports, and the logistics chain, it is crucial that correct data is available. The availability of RWG and APMT MVII provide you with the following benefits:

  • Reliable data directly from the terminal
  • Data from various sources centrally available in the Port Community System (PCS)
  • Greater efficiency in the logistics chain
  • Time savings due to fewer searches in various systems
  • Optimal planning for hinterland parties
