Quick Start Guide – Transit Declaration

Start a new transit declaration

There are five options for creating new transit declarations:

• New Container Manifest Declaration
• New Manifest Declaration (Excel import)
• New Bulk Manifest Declaration
• New Blank Container Declaration
• New Blank Bulk Declaration

New Container Manifest Declaration

New declaration based on data from Cargo Declaration Import:

• Click on ‘new blank container declaration’
• A popup appears. In the search bar, you can search for Bill of Lading/consignments, container numbers, and destinations. You can use multiple search factors by adding a space in between
• Select the Bill(s) of lading you want to create a transit declaration for and click ‘continue with X declarations’
• Fill out the fields and optionally choose a template. The fields with * are required fields
• Select a send date. It is also possible to choose ‘send on ATA’
• At the bottom of the page, you can add a name to the completed form, to save it as a new template. After filling out a name, a ‘save button’ appears
• Send the declaration by clicking ‘Save and send’ at the top right. The declaration will be sent on the chosen date or ATA of the ship

New Container Manifest Declaration (Excel copy) 

New declaration with copy+paste from Excel:

• Click on ‘new container manifest declaration (Excel copy)’
• A popup appears. Here you can paste a column with container numbers from Excel
• All containers are selected. Click on continue with X declarations’ to proceed
• Fill out the fields and optionally choose a template. The fields with * are required fields
• Select a send date. It is also possible to choose ‘send on ATA’
• At the bottom of the page, you can add a name to the completed form, to save it as a new template. After filling out a name, a ‘save button’ appears
• Send the declaration by clicking ‘Save and send’ at the top right. The declaration will be sent on the chosen date or ATA of the ship

New Bulk Manifest Declaration

New bulk declaration using data from Cargo Declaration Import:

• Click ‘new bulk manifest declaration’
• Fill out the fields and optionally choose a template. The fields with * are required fields
• Select a send date. It is also possible to choose ‘send on ATA’
• At the bottom of the page, you can add a name to the completed form, to save it as a new template. After filling out a name, a ‘save button’ appears
• Send the declaration by clicking ‘Save and send’ at the top right. The declaration will be sent on the chosen date or ATA of the ship

New Blank Container Declaration

Create a new empty declaration for a container:

• Click ‘new blank container declaration’
• Fill out the fields and optionally choose a template. The fields with * are required fields
• Select a send date. It is also possible to choose ‘send on ATA’
• At the bottom of the page, you can add a name to the completed form, to save it as a new template. After filling out a name, a ‘save button’ appears
• Send the declaration by clicking ‘Save and send’ at the top right. The declaration will be sent on the chosen date or ATA of the ship

New Blank Bulk Declaration

Create a new empty declaration for bulk:

• Click ‘new blank container declaration’
• Fill out the fields and optionally choose a template. The fields with * are required fields
• Select a send date. It is also possible to choose ‘send on ATA’
• At the bottom of the page, you can add a name to the completed form, to save it as a new template. After filling out a name, a ‘save button’ appears
• Send the declaration by clicking ‘Save and send’ at the top on the right. The declaration will be sent on the chosen date or ATA of the ship

Edit/add guarantee, template and destination

• At the top right, click your name and choose Transit guarantees, transit templates or Transit destinations

A. Guarantees

• Edit: change the fields and click ‘save’
• Delete: click the arrow next to ‘save’. Then, click ‘delete’
• Add: click ‘+ Add transit guarantee’ at the top right
• Request balance: Click Request balance

B. Templates

• Edit: change the fields and click ‘save’
• Delete: click the arrow next to ‘save’. Then, click ‘delete’
• Add: click ‘+ Add transit template’ at the top right or create a new blank declaration and save it as a template at the bottom of the form

C. Destinations

• Edit: change the fields and click ‘save’
• Delete: click the arrow next to ‘save’. Then, click ‘delete’
• Add: click ‘+ Add transit party at the top right

New manifest declaration via Cargo Controller

• Add the BL/ Container to your cargo in Cargo Controller, by clicking ‘+Add’. If the B/L is already visible in the overview, proceed to step 3
• Fill out the B/L and the container number or search for a vessel
• Select the Bill(s) you want to create a new declaration or
  • A: Click ‘T1 Create transit declaration’ at the top
  • B: Another option is to navigate to ‘T1 Transit’ in the menu on the left. Proceed the creation by clicking ‘New manifest declaration’
• A popup appears. In the search bar, you can search for Bill of Lading/consignments, container numbers, and destinations. You can use multiple search factors by adding a space in between
