FAQs about status updates
What does Portbase do in the event of a fault or suspected fault?
Portbase has a protocol that it follows in situations where there is reduced or no availability of a PCS service or the platform. You can read the protocol here.
Where can I sign up to receive fault notifications?
You can log in to status.portbase.com to be informed about maintenance or disruptions to the PCS. Select the services you want to be informed about and the channel.
Does Portbase report all faults?
Portbase currently reports maintenance and faults affecting the PCS or PCS services. In the future, Portbase also wants to provide information from this central point about the availability of systems linked to the PCS (e.g. Customs, container terminals).
Can I display information from Portbase about faults on my own website?
Fault notifications are available by e-mail, text message, RSS feed and a webhook. You can receive the information from us in different ways.
Can I receive fault information in a language other than English?
We currently only offer fault information in English.
Text notifications always come from a different number. Is that right?
We are aware that SMS notifications do not come from a single fixed number. Portbase has no influence on which number will be available to send text messages at the time a fault notification is sent.
I am not receiving updates by text message. Is that right?
If you have signed up for text notifications, you will receive a notification at the start and end of any disruption (incident). If you want to stay informed in the meantime, you can check the website(https://status.portbase.com/) or sign up for e-mail notifications.
I get notifications about services I am not interested in. How do I unsubscribe?
Every time you receive an incident notification, you can manage your notification settings. In case of e-mail notifications you will find this option at the bottom of the e-mail (“Manage your subscription”). In the case of text notifications you will receive a separate text message when an incident is logged (“You can unsubscribe from incident alerts like these at URL StatusPage”).
