Instruction for ECT Remote Check-In

By making a complete and correct pre-notification in the MCA Road service, your driver at the ECT Delta terminal will no longer have to go to Building 5. This is expected to save around 15 minutes per visit. At the ECT Euromax terminal, too, drivers can proceed faster.

Similarities

RCI = Fast Lane Ticket to enter terminal directly

Differences TAR (HPD2, APM2, RWG, RST) and RCI (ECT, Euromax)

RCI = Not compulsory
RCI = Not time-bound like a TAR/time slot
RCI = Has no maximum quota per time slot
RCI = Remain On Truck container must be made known in advance
RCI = Organization check at gate (EAN)

Logging in and pre-notification

Navigate to Hinterland Container Notification Road to prenotify a handling to ECT. Follow these steps to launch the service.

You then submit a prenotification in the usual way via the web screens or via your own link. See here for a guide on how to submit a prenotification via the web screens.

2Status information

Based on the specified ETA, you will immediately receive a TAR code from ECT.

You will also have direct insight into the status of the container thanks to the status icons.

The linking/unlinking of containers takes place in the usual way. Follow this guide if you want to handle several containers in a single ECT/EMX visit.

4Remain on Truck

Remain on Truck

ECT requires containers that remain on the truck during the ECT visit, so-called Remain on Truck containers, to be pre-entered in HCN.

This can be done in two ways:

  1. Have your software supplier automate the Remain on Truck notification.
  2. Manually add the Remain on Truck container in HCN.

Follow the steps below to manually add the Remain on Truck container in HCN.

  • Click on ‘Actions’ to the right of the visit to ECT that you want to add a Remain on Truck container to.
  • Click on ‘Add ‘Remain on Truck’ container’.
  • In the pop-up, enter the container number of the container you want to add to the visit as a Remain on Truck container.
  • Click on ‘Save’.

The container has now been added to the visit to ECT as a Remain on Truck container. The image below shows an example. Please ensure that the correct ETAs are entered in connection with the order of the visits.

5Executing charter

Executing charter

If the RCI code is used at the gate, ECT also checks that the EAN number entered by the organisation in the prenotification matches the EAN number of the driver’s cargo card. If the driver has a cargo card from an employment agency, this agency must be entered as an executing charter on the prenotification in HCN Road. If you are submitting a prenotification via the web screens, you can enter an executing charter when you create a new prenotification. Please refer to this guide. You can also change the executing charter after submitting the prenotification. To do so, follow these steps.
