You can navigate to the service as follows:
Cargo Tracker provides two different overviews to track the status of a vessel or container real-time:
You can switch views the top of your screen:
STEP 1:
In the Container Overview page. Click on the “+” button on the top left off the screen.
STEP 2:
Enter a Vessel name/IMO/CRN where you are able to search for a vessel based on the visits available.
STEP 3:
Fill in a container number and Bill of lading.
It is important that the Bill of lading is correct as this could lead to incorrect data being shown
You may optionally add any labels that will make your container searchable in the container overview page.
Step 4:
Click Save. Your subscription will show up in the Container Overview screen. In the Container Overview Screen the icons below show the status of your container:
Vessel arrival | Container discharge | Vessel departure | Gate Out
When the icon is dark blue (as pictured above) this event took place, e.g.: in this example the container has already left the terminal (gate out). When the icon is still grey, the event did not take place yet.
Sometimes we might have trouble finding the correct container or information was not filled in correctly. We have created a great tool for you to correct any errors that might occur during the upload process.
Hit the Edit icon and make the relevant changes to your row. Once you have completed your modifications click on the Resubmit button
You may also choose to fix the error in your excel and re-upload your file to the upload tool.
If you do not wish to see your subscriptions any longer you may use our manual archiving feature. This allows you to archive your container so that you may no longer receive notifications related
to that container.
You can archive subscriptions by clicking on the Archive icon and then clicking on the submit button in the popup. On completion, your subscription will be moved to the Archive page.
Step 2:
You can always look back at your archived containers in the archive page.
Notifications can be used at both a global and a container level. This means that you can create specific notifications for a container or have a rule set up for all subscriptions made in your organisation.
This page will allow you to set organisation wide notifications for your subscriptions. Only the administrator of your organisation has access to this page. You can access the global notifications page by clicking on the Settings link in the top right of the navigation bar and then clicking on Global Notifications.
You are also able to make specific notification configurations per container. Unlike the global notification these are notifications that are set up per user. Meaning that any configuration made will only be for the user that sets these notifications up.
Container discharged | Setup a threshold for your container discharge with a value in minutes. |
ETA/ETD Removed | No threshold for this value and simply notifies when an ETD/ETD is removed |
Container was not picked up
|
If selected you will be notified of a container not picked up with in the threshold that you set. |
Gate Out | You will be notified when the container has left the terminal |
Vessel has departed, container not discharged | When the container was not discharged, but the vessel left, you’ll receive a notification |
Changes in ETA | When ETA changes you’ll receive a notification |
Always Email | This allows you to be notified by email even if you are viewing your subscriptions. |
Labels are a convenient way for you to organise your container subscriptions. This field is for you to use to organise containers and make them easily searchable. By clicking on them in the container overview /archive page, your items will be filtered. You can add labels when creating subscriptions or use the convenient feature on container overview page to modify labels.
