Welcome to Portbase

Welcome to Europe’s biggest port community! You can now start using the Port Community System (PCS) and the service(s) you have purchased.

All Portbase services enable message exchange between one or more parties. The PCS makes sure these processes run in accordance with the established rules and connects the parties with one another.

In this support environment, you will find instructional videos, quick start guides, frequently asked questions and more for each service.

Navigation within our support environment

At the top right you will find a dropdown menu with ‘all services’. When you click on this, you will see the menu of all our services for which support pages are available. Click on the service name to bring up the support environment for that service.

Information about your service(s)

For each service, we provide various support resources such as quick start guides, instructional videos and FAQs. Clicking on the button below will take you to an overview page, from where you can navigate to the appropriate page.

Information about the PCS

PCS stands for Port Community System. The PCS is the central location for all the Portbase services you have purchased*. As soon as you purchase a Portbase service, you automatically have access to the PCS. To log in to the PCS, use your IAMconnected login credentials.

*You can also purchase services from third parties via Portbase. An overview of these services can be found here.

My Portbase

Once you have successfully logged in to the Port Community System (PCS), you are taken to ‘My Portbase’, the Portbase dashboard. Here you will find:

  • An overview of the services you are subscribed to, including notifications.
  • ‘User Management’. If you are the assigned primary user, you can give users access to services here.

With User Management, you manage access to the service(s) your company has purchased in the PCS. In the PCS under ‘Organisation Management’, you can easily:

Adding users

Users are automatically added to the PCS the first time they log in using IAMconnected.

User Management

IMPORTANT: For administrators and managers of user accounts only.

User Management allows your company to manage access to the services you purchase in the Port Community System (PCS). In the PCS under ‘Organisation Management’ (‘Organisation Management’), you can easily:

  • Activate and deactivate users per service
  • Add and remove user groups
  • Change company data

Add user groups

  1. Select the ‘User groups’ menu.
  2. Select ‘Add group’.
  3. Under ‘User group name’ select the relevant service.
  4. In the ‘Description’ field, name the group.
  5. Under ‘All users’, you can select the users you want to include in this user group.
  6. Use the arrow key to add the selected users to the ‘Users in group’ group.
  7. Save the entered data. Under ‘Service authorisation’ you can now set what the user group is allowed to do or see for this service.
  8. Select ‘Add’ to save what you have entered.

Change user groups

  1. Select the ‘User groups’ menu.
  2. Select the user group you want to change.
  3. Select the users you want to add to the group.
  4. Use the arrow key to add the selected users to the ‘Users in group’ group.
  5. Use the arrow key under ‘Users in group’ to select the users you want to remove from the group.
  6. Delete the selected users from the group using the arrow key.
  7. Save the entered data.
  8. Under ‘Service authorisation’, you can now set what the user group is allowed to do or see for this service.
  9. Select ‘Save’ to save what you have entered.

IAMconnected

In order to use a Portbase service, you must have a personal IAMconnected account linked to your organisation. IAMconnected is a platform within Portbase and guarantees 24/7 secure and easy access to the service(s) you have purchased.
